Services
Compassionate, Professional Support for Children, Adolescents & Parents
At KH Psychology Services, I provide a safe, supportive, and evidence-based approach to help children, young people, and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental challenges. My services are tailored to each child’s unique needs, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Therapy is a collaborative and tailored approach, using evidence-based interventions to support emotional well-being and resilience. In my work with children, young people, and their families, I use a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and gender diversity affirmative approach and am trained in a number of therapy approaches including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy (DDP).
My practice is also influenced and inspired by the works of Dr. Daniel Siegel, Kim Golding, Dr. Dan Huges, and Dr. Ross Greene (a non-exhaustive list!), as well as honouring each person’s expertise of themselves and their lived experience.
Psychology and therapy sessions are typically known for their use of ‘talking therapy’, however all forms of communication are valid, and children are encouraged to use what form of communication that feels best for them – talking, play, drawing, typing, singing, acting and so on! During sessions, there are fidgets and sensory items available to use and I welcome parents and children to let me know if they need the temperature or lighting etc. changed. It is also okay to move how you need to during sessions; you can move around the room, we can walk and talk, shoot some hoops or move around outside during sessions. I’m also open to other suggestions as to how I can make my space comfortable for you when you come to sessions.
Child & Adolescent Therapy
Parent & Caregiver Support
Empowering parents with tools and guidance for raising resilient children
Parenting is one of the toughest (and most rewarding) roles in life. But it can also feel isolating and overwhelming—especially when navigating parenting a neurodivergent child or trying to break intergenerational cycles. I work alongside parents to provide:
Strategies for parenting children with anxiety, ADHD, autism, and other challenges.
Emotional support for caregivers of non-biological children.
Guidance on managing meltdowns, behavioral challenges & emotional dysregulation.
Practical techniques to strengthen parent-child relationships.
Zoom sessions available for parents needing flexible support
Neurodiversity-Affirming Assessments
I provide comprehensive assessments using a neurodiversity-affirming approach that aims to understand a child or young person’s neurotype, their strengths, and their challenges.
My assessment process:
Interviews with parents, child/young person, teachers, other professionals or nominated family members
Psychometric questionnaires for parents, teachers, and young people.
An observation in the child/young person’s classroom and at times a home observation (for younger children) is also helpful.
A comprehensive report is written including practical recommendations for support, interventions, and possible further assessment.
A feedback session is also provided where we discuss the outcome of the assessment and the recommendations as well as answer any questions you and your child/young person may have
These assessments can help parents and educators better understand and advocate for a child/young person’s neurodivergent needs.
If you suspect your child is autistic or has ADHD and needs an assessment or support, get in touch to discuss your options.
